MMC Adjunct Professor Produces Broadway Play

Produced with her late husband, film and theatre producer Norman Twain, The Lifespan of a Fact is based on the critically-acclaimed, best-selling, nonfiction book about fact, fiction, and blurred lines in the high stakes world of publishing.

Twain—an MMC American Sign Language and Writing adjunct professor for 17 years—has worked tirelessly to bring her husband’s final project to the stage.  “I worked with him when I was not at school and it was my greatest wish to try to get this play launched in any way that I could, to honor his hard work and his love for it. I only dreamed that it would end up being on Broadway with three amazing stars,” said Twain.

The Lifespan of a Fact stars Daniel Radcliffe, of Harry Potter fame, Tony Award winner Cherry Jones, and Tony Award nominee Bobby Cannavale. Performances begin at the Broadway theatre Studio 54 on September 20, 2018 with an opening night on October 18, 2018. The show will run for 16 weeks until January 13, 2019.

Twain hopes to be able to offer a discounted ticket to Marymount Manhattan students for a special performance this fall, which will include a talk back with the writers after the performance.
