Student Spotlight - Ashley LaCambria ’18

When it came to her independent study, Ashley LaCambria ’18 focused on vocal pedagogy.

Each week she led a micro-teaching session with a peer, providing coaching to reduce tension, expand vocal range, develop breath support, and improve language use.

“I have new-found respect for what it takes to be a teacher as I learn how to write lesson plans, create rubrics, and evaluate students,” the BFA Acting major says. “As each week passes, not only do I see progress in my students, but my own skills are reinforced in the process.”
