Is your passport up to date? The International Studies Department is thrilled to announce the upcoming January 2019 travel course to Costa Rica, led by Dr. Andreas Hernandez.
Sustainable development seeks to meet human development goals while sustaining or regenerating the natural systems upon which economy and society are embedded and depend. Costa Rica has emerged as global leader in sustainable development, integrating this framework into development decision making at all levels – while working to preserve the country’s dramatic biodiversity.
Students will engage with organizations as diverse as the United Nations, Costa Rican Government, coffee cooperatives and grassroots movements from January 12th through the 26th. For more info, and to secure your spot, please email Dr. Hernandez at ahernandez@mmm.edu.
