Sadie Lourie ’19 Designs Recycled Artwork for Fashion Event

Sadie Lourie ’19, a freshman studio art major, double minor in art history and art therapy designed artwork out of recycled materials for a fashion event.

The artwork she created was designed out of black and white recycled materials for Beau Monde Society’s (BMS) 4th Annual Fashion Envie event titled “O x o M o n o c h r o m e.”

With collaboration from two others, the team of artists met with the CEO of BMS Jennifer Nnamani and put her vision to paper for the event on April 23 which was held at Caelum Gallery on West 26th Street. The team created five installation pieces for each of the five designers and installed all pieces of artwork. Each piece was created as a backdrop for the designer’s fashion models standing in front displaying the clothing.
