Marymount Manhattan College was thrilled to welcome its students back to campus for the first day of classes on Monday, August 31. Students were welcomed by President Kerry Walk, Ph.D. as they geared up for an exciting day ahead of them. The day was filled with new classes, new professors, and students enjoyed reconnecting with old friends while making new ones. They were even treated to a flash mob put on by fellow students to welcome Dr. Walk to MMC…to the tune of “Walk this Way” by Aerosmith!

Every year, the Mathematics department holds a College-wide π-Day contest. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit an original sentence, paragraph, poem, or short story that uses the digits of π in order (π ≈ 3.1415926..).
