Alumni Reunion 2015

Marymount Manhattan College alumni returned to where it all began at Reunion Weekend, May 29-30, where they enjoyed memorable events and a weekend full of activities.

As alumni found their way back to campus on Friday, May 29, many kicked-off their weekend by visiting the Alumni Art Exhibition in the Hewitt Gallery of Art followed by a fantastic alumni cabaret performance – I Remember it Well – in the Theresa Lange Theatre.

Saturday’s Reunion events included an Alumni Authors of MMC panel, which featured Ellie Imperato ’68, Mickey Dandola ’70, and Joan Regen-Ramirez ’82. The Award Luncheon followed the panel discussion, where guests met with President-Elect Kerry Walk, and were treated to performances by recent graduates and 2015 BROADWAY RISING STARS winners Ally Kupferberg and Christine Baird, along with Ashton Corey.

The Award Luncheon honored Père Gailhac Award alumnae in recognition of their continuous and outstanding service to Marymount Manhattan College. Honorees included Maureen McManus Lally ’60, Cathleen McLoughlin, Ph.D. ’60, and Barbara Lynch Loughlin ’70. The Sister Raymunde McKay Award honoree was Alice O’Hara McCarter ’65, who was presented the award for her distinguished service and outstanding contributions to the community-at-large. The Young Alumni Award was presented to Lindsay Dunphy ’10, for her achievements and outstanding professional accomplishments that illustrate the quality of a Marymount Manhattan College degree.

Afterwards, class pictures and meetings were held, giving alumni a chance to catch up with their graduating classes. The evening included a Donor and Volunteer Appreciation Reception, an Adult Returning Students of the 80’s, 90’s & 00’s Cocktail Party, and a Reunion Dinner Party to wrap up the weekend’s events.

Many thanks to the Reunion Committee (Marjorie Ihrig ’57, Maureen Lally ’60, Cathleen McLoughlin ’60, Bernadette Kriftcher ’65, Kathleen Austin ’65, Barbara Loughlin ’70, Virginia Monti ’80, Trish Shortell ’90, Josette Dugue ’90, Samantha Varn ’00) and all faculty, staff, friends, and family for making the entire Reunion Weekend a success.
