MMC Senior Dancer “Rocks” this Season at Radio City Music Hall

Marymount Manhattan College senior Dance major Brooke Averi Lineberger has realized her childhood dream of becoming a Rockette, performing at the illustrious Radio City Music Hall in NYC this winter.

Ms. Lineberger is one of six new dancers chosen to perform in the 2014 Radio City Christmas Spectacular, an annual musical holiday show first presented in 1933.  In preparation of the audition, Brooke has been attending the Rockette Summer Intensive Program which provides training to gifted dancers alongside professional Rockettes.

In order to audition to be a Rockette, dancers must fill a certain height requirement, as well as successfully perform a series of different dance styles.

Marymount Manhattan has a tradition of success when it comes to students selected for this notable role including Synthia Link’08, Elizabeth Sousek ’07, Chrystie Kenny’99, Kathleen Voss ’11, and Erin Lindsay’08.
