Faculty News: Hallie Cohen Accepted as Visiting Artist to American Academy in Rome

Associate Professor of Art, Hallie Cohen, Chair of the Art & Art History Department and Director of the Hewitt Gallery, has been accepted as a Visiting Artist to the American Academy in Rome for two weeks in January 2015. 

Her project proposal, “Mi Ricordo Mamma Roma,” is an exploration of the iconography and cultural substrates in the Pier Paolo Pasolini film. She will be collaborating with the writer Francis Levy to create a monograph and multimedia presentation, which employs painting, photography and videography.

Math Department Holds The Eleventh Annual Pi-Day Contest

Every year, the Mathematics department holds a College-wide π-Day contest. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit an original sentence, paragraph, poem, or short story that uses the digits of π in order (π ≈ 3.1415926..).
