You love Pixar movies and comic books. You love to paint and draw and tell stories with images. You’re creative, and you’re developing your own visual style. In Illustration and Animation, you’ll learn to think critically, act creatively, and bring narratives alive with aesthetic precision and conceptual flair.
Why Study Illustration and Animation at MMC?
To be an illustrator or animator, you must not only master industry-specific software and technology but also develop your artistry and cultivate your intellect. In other words, you must take advantage of the precise type of liberal arts education that MMC provides.
You will receive professional artistic training from accomplished practitioners who are deeply embedded and knowledgeable about New York City’s vibrant art scene. Take advantage of integrated study in theory, history, and practice of illustration and animation that will nurture you as an artist and creative thinker.
In New York City, you’ll be surrounded by art and multimedia inspiration. Pop into one of the many art museums just a few blocks away from the College on Museum Mile. Intern at one of the city’s animation studios or get experience at a multimedia company. You will marvel at all the opportunities to cultivate your illustration and animation skills.
