Emerging Leaders
Through weekly leadership workshops, community service, and a group research project, the Emerging Leaders will explore the multi-faceted aspects of good leadership and develop their own skills and understanding of how they can best embody the skills of effective leadership.
Interested first-year students should apply during the fall semester for participation in the program during the following spring semester. Students accepted into the program will also be awarded the Gladys Brooks Foundation Endowed Scholarship.

Pronouns: she, her, hersI am so excited for the opportunity to join the Emerging Leaders program to truly get to know my peers at Marymount who are also driven to become successful leaders. Pronouns: she, her, hersI am so excited to participate in Emerging Leaders so that I can gain valuable skills and learn how to make MMC and the world a better place. I am already a part of many clubs on campus, including NDEO, Dance Reps, and the Science Society, and I would love to gain leadership experience so that I can become more involved in these clubs in the future. I want to build lasting relationships with like-minded peers in this program and collaborate with them on significant projects.

Pronouns: she, her, hersI am ecstatic to be a part of Emerging Leaders, through which I hope to make a positive impact on my community along with some amazing peers! I am currently dipping my toe into multiple student organizations, as I love to get involved with student leadership, event planning, and extracurriculars involving the arts. In my free time, I watch a plethora of film/TV/theatre, teach myself French, and explore the city with friends, among other things.

I decided to join the Emerging Leaders program because I want to incorporate myself more with campus activities. While being involved, I want to learn different skills and more knowledge about being a leader, which is very important for me for my professional life outside of college. I love being a leader and helping guide others to their own success and their own goals.
