Why Study Biology?

A Biology minor prepares you to excel in the biological, chemical, physical, and mathematical sciences. You’ll learn the basic principles of cell biology, classical genetics, and molecular biology. You’ll deepen your critical thinking skills through the scientific process involving both observation and experimentation. Through lab work, you’ll learn the fundamental tools and techniques of biological investigation. With a minor in Biology, you’ll gain an understanding of essential life processes that will be useful in whatever you major in, whether or not it is science-related.
